An early start at the fish factory and after a couple of hours watching the usual species I was about to move on to try somewhere else when a last look seaward was rewarded with a Black Guillemot flying past; a gorgeous adult in summer plumage.
Decided to stick around for a bit longer and got a couple of Common Gulls, a 2nd w Mediterranean Gull and a Whimbrel.
Moving north, Llanon and Llansantffraed were pretty birdless, but at Llanrhystud there were 95 Mediterranean Gulls on the rocks at the river mouth by the caravan park, and two Sanderling on the beach.
