Cwn Tydu

Cwm Tydu yesterday. The kestrel family put on a good display with the youngsters (looking like males) regularly resting on the island shown above. Sorry its fuzzy but that's the penalty for using mega-zoom!  The promised pere turned up with a large black prey item in its feet,harrassed by gulls and crows it seemed too laden to fly far.
 Unfortunately the choughs kept coming down into long vegetation so we couldn't see any rings....speaking of which: check out the Dyfi Osprey project web-site to see the tagging of, and Emrys' emotional re-union with, the remaining chick.
