Bob, John, Jill and I enjoyed a morning at Ynys-hir, despite the lack of birds. Highlights, such as they were, were seven Pintail and a Shoveler on the breakwater pools, a Peregrine at each end of the reserve (probably same bird), a Kestrel, Kingfisher feeding around the Marian Mawr pools and a very good count of 21 Greylag Geese, which I initially thought were whitefronts until John brought me down to earth.
Still, at least the rain held off until the end.
