Whilst loading the van at work this morning I was amazed to hear a Sedge Warbler blasting away from a tiny area of scrub, scarcely bigger than my lounge floor, and right next to the tank of diesel in the corner of the yard. Presumably not a stayer, just grounded by the rain, but still enough energy for some energetic singing.
