A male Hen Harrier was hunting over Aberleri this morning (Monday) putting up a Jack Snipe along with a number of Common Snipe. A ringtail Harrier and a female Peregrine were also seen on Cors fochno, where a flock of c.50 Redpoll were feeding in birch trees yesterday.
Around midday I looked down the Leri close to Glandwr pool. There were 3 or 4 Redshank and c.90 Teal on the river as well as a sandpiper. This was seen briefly by Russell as well and we think it was probably a Baird's. We lost it when the Teal got up but it may still be along the river!
