It was very nice to watch around 250 Barnacle Geese fly past the Saltings hide at Ynyshir today at around 11am, half an hour after high tide. A smaller group of around 70 birds rested by the Saltings hide, while the majority flew past the Dolmen Las hide and came to rest a bit further along, with best views of them to be had from the laybye at Glandyfi. Also 34 Curlews by the Saltings hide and Kingfisher and 3 Common Sandpipers in front of the Domen Las hide. The Tanybwlch ditch was, unfortunately, deserted.
