This morning surveyed a couple of tetrads near Maesycrugiau,not an area I'm familiar with. Though much of the area is intensively farmed one or two pockets held good birds. Highlights were;
3 Dippers,2 together on the Teifi and a third on a sidestream, 2 Marsh Tits and a Woodcock.
My most enjoyable sighting of the day though was of Arfon Williams, an increasingly elusive species that appears to be evolving crepuscular habits that allow it to creep up on unwary Jack Snipe after dark.
