KITES AT GIGRIN FARM

Here at my part of Trisant only a tractor and my Land Rover have been able to get out and about and I have not been venturing very far. However, yesterday I went to Ponterwyd and met Bob and Mervyn and the three of us went to Gigrin Farm at Rhayader. As well as hundreds of Red Kite, there has been a juvenile Black Kite visiting the site at feeding time and we were keen to see it. We met Tony Cross there and he said that the 500 or so Red Kites currently visiting the site at feeding time was very exceptional. The Black Kite turned up and we had some great views of it.
Although outside of Ceredigion, it is well worth a visit, weather permitting.
