Last year my nestbox pieds were down by 50% as it seemed some females didn't show so I have been in fear and trepidation awaiting their arrival this year. Elfyn reported his garden bird in on the 9th,accurate to the day and ours arrived this morning, at least 2 males are defending perches and boxes so let's hope the females are on the way.
Mallard sitting for a second time as rats predated the first eggs as they had got to the island when the pond was frozen;they have been dealt with but now I've found fresh pole-cat droppings....
Pied flys in Maes Llyn woods also today.
