Whilst working at putting in the flooring in our upstairs sitting room yesterday out of the corner of my eye I caught site of an unusual bird flying past, it turned out to be a male Pied Flycatcher. He made straight for one of the garden nest boxes much to the consternation of the resident Blue Tits. I was very excited as I've never seen a Pied Fly in or near my garden in 12years. I managed a quick photo thro' the double glazing just as a record shot. The bird made several visits once accompanied by a female.
So far today no show but the Blue Tits have kept close attendance to the box.
