Arthur Chater's monumental work on the Flora of Cardiganshire was published today, 700 pages, £40 a copy. He has been involved with birds in the county for the past 60 years and is well known to most local birders. The book is in stock at Ystwyth Books, and is well worth every penny. It includes such generally interesting items as the distribution of the champion trees of each species in the county, and where to find many of the scarcer plants.
