An early morning trip to Borth was rewarded (eventually) with a good sighting of a dark phase Arctic Skua. It was beating up a smaller bird which, owing to my vision being tunneled onto the Skua I hardly took any notice of, but Mervyn was of the opinion that the small bird was also of interest, possibly a phalarope..........
There was a steady stream of Manxies passing by but only in moderate numbers and, it was cold.
We stopped at the Clettwr on our way home where we saw a Dipper, 3 Greenshank, 2 Green Sandpiper and a Grey Wagtail.
