Between 0630 and 0830 at Ynyslas about 1000 manx shearwaters heading north and one balearic shearwater went through at 0745. Also 148 sandwich tern, 5 common scoter north and 6 teal north. Only small numbers of waders as the tide was still low but there was about 80 ringed plover, 2 sanderling and a turnstone.
At Ynys-hir the WeBS count produced 12 green sandpiper (11 feeding together in one ditch near the Breakwater hide) and 3 greenshank. Two ospreys were fishing on the estuary, one of which caught a fish, and a female peregrine scared off most of the waders present on the saltmarsh though I had luckily managed to count them all first.
