Aline Denton is organising a beach clean on the Birders' favourite beach on Sept 11th.at 2pm as part of the Marine Conservation Society annual beach clean.
Strong gloves and footwear needed plus scopes for later! Very high tides are due that weekend which will wash all those deadly bits of plastic into Cardigan Bay if we don't pick them up...yes I know it needs doing every week. I met a lady on Aberaeron beach who, voluntarily, picks up plastic every Wed; she gave us a dying black-headed gull to take to the vet. Fortunately it heard the word vet and snuffed it without more ado.
