Following the discussion on the Ceredigion blog about Great Tits tapping on doors.
We find that the Blue tits tap just as much as the Great tits. They regularly tap on our kitchen window – yes when the feeder needs topping up, but at other times too. We wonder if they see their reflection when they tap repeatedly in the same spot. They do also regularly work their way around all our windows presumably trying to dislodge insects.

PS As I type a blue tit head has just appeared over the window sill.
