YNYSLAS

Basil Twigg and Rhiannon were lucky enough to have a great view of a Glossy Ibis at Ynyslas, early this morning. Eventually it flew upstream.
Later I was lucky enough to see this Turtle Dove resting on an overhead cable. It looked a little startled and stretched its neck when a Sparrowhawk passed by.
Nearby, on Cors Fochno were 5 Whinchat, perched in a line on a wire fence. Five Whinchat is almost a flock! Is there a collective noun for such a gathering?
