Ceredigion Birding Group Field Trip

Yesterday, Sunday 14th, 30 of us turned up at Cross Inn Forest to look for Crossbills and the illusive Great Grey Shrike. We were treated to great views of Crossbills but unfortunately the Shrike remained illusive. Amongst other birds seen on a beautiful, late autumn morning, as recorded by Moira were -

Goldcrest, long-tailed tit, coal tit, great spotted, woodpecker, blackbird, robin, blue tit, raven, great tit, magpie, jay, wren, carrion crow, jackdaw, crossbill, reed bunting, bullfinch, woodpigeon, Red Kite, Buzzard, Kestrel, Grey Heron and Brambling.

Many thanks to Phil Dennis for shepherding such a large flock of us around the forest.
