This morning, I'd just finished my list for October to email to Russell, and looking out of my window whilst on the phone, a light grey bird emerged from the mist, low over the field. It was a male hen harrier! I only live 100 yards from the centre of Pontrhydfendigaid. He flew past my house only 50 yards away, I dashed to the back of the house and he glided over the trees to the Teifi and probably went down the river to Cors Caron. Another 1st for the house list! (Just need a golden eagle to fly past now!) Also, brambling on the feeder yesterday (Sunday)
