Snow Buntings, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...........

This afternoon at Ynyslas Turn Car Park there were at least 5 Snow Buntings showing delightfully. I met Janet Baxter who had been watching and photographing the group before I arrived. But as I drove across the golf course I saw 2 in the grass just before I reached the car parking area, so there could have been as many as 7. Later I took Buster for a run at Ynyslas, half way between the entrance and Aberleri. There were hundreds and hundreds of birds far out on the mud - Curlew, Dunlin, Oystercatcher as well as Ducks and Geese. c100 Golden Plover flew over as did 2 Chough. A Merlin flew over the saltings and landed on a post, allowing me to watch him in excellent light for a good few minutes.
