Ynyslas/Aberleri
We went to Aberleri this morning so that Lulu and Buster could have a good run and I could have another look for the Great White Egret. No GWE but there were quite a lot of other birds about. Mallard, Wigeon, Teal, Curlew, Lapwing, Redshank and one or two Dunlin were hunkered down beside the river. Not surprisingly in view of the weather, they look like they're having quite a hard time, the ground, even the sand is frozen solid. On the saltings the flock of c130 Linnet were still grubbing around with some Starlings. There were 4 Ringed Plover and a flock of c40 Golden Plover near the Point. Off shore from the Turn Car Park there were 3 Great Crested Grebes. I noticed a few Snipe between Llangynfelyn and the Railway Crossing.
