Spent the day in school for the RSPB Big Schools Birdwatch. They were hoping to have Iolo for the day (Yeh, I bet they were!) but had to put up with the local postie instead. Hard times indeed. They have an arsenal of home made feeding devices,maybe 30, to pull things in. I must admit that the sight of two weak/sick/injured? birds had me wondering whether there might be disease amongst those birds using the feeders but this is mere speculation and anxiety on my part. A minimum of 20 Siskins, a brief glimpse of a Sparrowhawk and displaying Ravens were the best bits for me. Full list;
