On the subject of kites I visited Nant-yr-Arian last Saturday and there was a leucistic bird present there amongst the 80 or so 'normal' kites (how many leucistic ones are there in the population now I wonder?) I was hoping to see goldeneye and goosander on the lake but it was frozen solid, the kites and crows were 'slip-sliding' a bit as they picked meat up off the frozen lake which had been displaced from the feeding area.
Postscript- 20 kites at a roost opposite my home at dusk but not in Ceredigion sorry boys and girls!
