Recent sightings from "The Lake District"

A nightjar was heard by Llyn Blaenmelindwr last night (3rd May).
Plenty of birdsong in the area between there and Llyn Pendam this morning, including a garden warbler, which was a new species for SN78. A small sand martin colony above Llyn Syfydrin was a surprise. There were about ten burrows, although I only saw one pair and a single bird.

Could I add a few more sightings to my last email I’m a bit forgetful today!
Grasshopper warbler, cuckoo, and two bullfinches near Pendam this morning, and a pair of common sandpipers on Llyn Syfydrin.
The two Brent Geese were alongside the pier at Aberystwyth at high tide.
