Anyone keen to see med gulls close up should go down to Llanon,south end by hotel,for high tide as the farmer is ploughing stubble and the gulls are feeding in the field then flying onto the water. A skua flew in to investigate the gull activity but they were preening not feeding so it flew out to sea, can't say which sort as I had my cup in hand not my bins.
Most pleasing in a brief period of sunshine was a clouded yellow,brand new painted lady and dozens of small torts with a few blues on the thistles and clover at the edge of the coast path.
