Purple Heron
Today I had two reports regarding a Purple Heron. The first was from staff at The Dyfi Osprey Project who thought they may have seen one at about 11:45 this morning. The bird was a long way away so they weren't able to positively identify it. Later I heard from staff at Ynys-hir that a visitor had reported seeing one from The Saltings Hide at 10:00 this morning. I went to the reserve at about 3:45pm. I found a Black Swan - out near the estuary from The Breakwater Hide - 2 Brown Hares - on my way back from The Breakwater - and various other shades of wildlife but nothing purple.
