Ynyslas

High-tide at Ynyslas was productive this morning with 309 ringed plover, 18 sanderling, 7 turnstone, 5 knot and 86 dunlin. A juv. little tern flew in to join the sandwich terns at the mouth of the Leri with 83 of the latter in total (most of these were fishing off the northern point). Rather annoyingly, just as I focussed on an unusual looking juvenile small plover (probably a kentish) litter pickers disturbed all the small waders and despite looking everywhere I failed to re-locate it. I did not get a decent enough view to confirm what it was, much to my dismay.
