ABERYSTWYTH'S STARLINGS

After a successful afternoon (see below) I found myself in town in time to watch the Starlings, something I never tire of doing. This evening's performance left me speechless. I have never seen the entire roost flock in the air for so long and probably never seen so many. The first ones appeared at 5.15 and very soon the numbers reached the maximum and it was not until 5.50 did they all begin to dive under the pier, but not before both a Sparrowhawk and a Peregrine managed to catch supper.
