Bog and Hill
On the Cors Caron bog this morning 2 pairs of redshank and a displaying curlew, singing pipits and skylarks, paired up teal, wigeon and goosander. Frogs taking a hammering from the herons and a very fresh otter poo was full of their bones also.
Later a walk up the Afon Groes in Blaencaron was very quiet but enlivened by 5 wheatear among the lichen covered rocks. An old friend put in an appearance: this kite has been around for at least 4 years recognised by both wings missing all its inner primaries.
