Gulls are all white!

Being a little preoccupied with Wales righting a terrible injustice yesterday's the following is 24hrs late.

3 wheatears and 2 chiffchaffs at Llanrhystud also 14 Med Gulls of various ages including a couple of very smart adults in full summer plumage.

A second winter Iceland Gull at Aberaeron and 5 x 1st year Meds, one of which was a partial albino with lots of white primaries, but only in the left wing.

Another second winter Iceland Gull at New Quay. This bird has a completely dark tip to the bill unlike the Aberaeron bird which has the very tip of the bill noticeably pale. A second white-winged gull at New Quay turned out to be an almost pure white Herring Gull with a faint brown wash to the tail and primaries. This may have been the bird seen on the Teifi a couple of days earlier. As soon as I'm able to download photos of this bird I'll put them on the blog - well worth seeing.
