Llyn Frongoch

On Llyn Frongoch late morning yesterday (6th March), in addition to nine Canada Geese and a Dabchick, there was what appeared to be a male Mallard swimming sedately along with what seemed to be a very small female by his side. She was constantly making quick, shallow dives accompanied by a lot of flapping of wings. Has anyone else observed similar behaviour?

At lunchtime, on and near the Banc Blaen Magwr pond, there was a Buzzard, a Heron, a few Mallards and six Goosanders (male and female).
