Oops. My first posting on the blog and it was a blank.
Just wanted to report that I went to have a look at the sea at Aber yesterday morning. Hardly a bird to be seen, but as I was looking for waders on the rocks, I heard the distinctive call of a Greenshank as it dropped in to join the two Ringed Plovers, six Turnstones and a single Purple Sandpiper which I had already noted.
Greenshank is a very scarce passage migrant in Aber, with most records being in autumn.
