Ynyslas turn
The long-tailed duck and slavonian grebe were still at ynyslas turn this morning. There again at 5pm and there has obviously been a movement of fish into the bay. Lots of gulls including 16 kittiwakes, some 40 gannets and a nice flock of around 60 Manx shearwaters were fishing at some distance. A fulmar and 5 sandwich terns were nice too. In between, a walk with my wife in the hills above Bontgoch. A few wheatears were around with lots of meadow pipits and singing skylarks. A surprise however was a displaying golden plover and I will have to remember to go up there again in early May, just in case.
