Having resigned myself to this being the first of 20 years without Spotties nesting in the garden, I got back from France to find one of the boxes on the house with a new nest and Spottie in attendance. She must have come in early June a month after the usual arrival date of 4th May. Has anyone else had very late arrivals?
On the other hand, Willow Warblers are on schedule with about 4 well fledged young being fed around the garden.
