New Quay and Llanon

Most of the morning spent seawatching from the fish factory.  Auks were passing in good numbers; I counted 380, most of which were too distant for positive i.d.  The closer ones were mostly Guillemots.
Also 86 Gannets, 65 Kittiwakes and 11 Common Scoter.
Highlights: a pale morph Arctic Skua,  5  commic terns, 3 Red-throated Divers including one in full summer plumage on the sea and a solitary late Manx Shearwater.
There were 3 Mediterranean Gulls with the fish factory hordes.

At Llanon, a very large count of 338 Med Gulls, plus about 60 House Sparrows and it was nice to see that the almost all white Oystercatcher is still around.
