A little of everything
At Llanrhystud this morning. As I stared across the stubble in to the bright sun then round 180 degrees to gaze out over the sea I had the feeling that more knowledgeable ears and more expensive optics would have picked up more birds than I was able. Several hundred Gulls were feeding out at sea along with a number of Gannets and Auks. Wigeon, Teal and Mallard on the shore along with 85 Golden Plovers. A fair few Wagtails, Skylarks and Meadow Pipits in the fields. Two Choughs were present and two Goldcrests at the kilns.
Re."Swallows" I noticed about 20 between Henllan and Penrhiwpal yesterday as well as 100 LBB Gulls.
