After a great morning in the Saltings hide at Ynys-hir (busier than I have ever seen it!) watching seemingly huge numbers of Barnacle Geese and other wildfowl and waders, my group and I moved on to the Clettwr but not before seeing an obliging Kingfisher from the Marion Mawr hide.
While standing at one spot overlooking Morfa Cyd we had great views of a hunting juv. Marsh Harrier, a ring-tail Hen Harrier, a Merlin chasing small birds, then perched on a post and then dashing low above us, a Sparrowhawk, Buzzards and a Ked Kite. Also, some Snipe overhead, 100+ Golden Plovers, several Lapwings and a Dipper. And we missed all the showers!
