High tide at Ynys-hir

Waded  to the breakwater hide this morning, wet feet but well worth it to see a female Hen Harrier hunt low over the flooded fields flushing snipe and teal in its path.  Also 2 Black tailed godwits (twice as many as yesterday!), 4 Bar tailed godwits, c100 Curlew, 30 Redshank, and good numbers of snipe.  At one point I estimated there to be about 300 Wigeon and the Barnacle geese were keeping together in a raft of about 200 birds.  It was only when I took the other path leading away from the hide and found that flooded too, that I realised why I had been the only person there !
