Just a few Skylarks, Meadow Pipits, Linnets and a couple of Stonechats in the fields south of Llanon this morning, though around 80 House Sparrows were sunning themselves in the bushes next to the beach car park.
The main interest lay offshore, as a Great Northern Diver on the sea later took off and flew north, and much further out was a feeding frenzy of an estimated 70 Gannets.
At Llanrhystud, three Red-throated Divers on the sea were still in summer plumage, unlike a solitary Guillemot. Seven Common Scoter flew south and the Gannets were still visible.
Five Swallows went through as I was leaving the car park.
