Snow bunting,chough,goldie flock at Llanrhysted
Met Bob and Harry on the grey, windy and cold beach who alerted us to the presence of the ringed chough but they hadn't seen the snowies so we plodded off without much hope. The chough however led us to the stakes sticking out of the beach where 2 snow buntings were flitting about. Pics are not very sharp as Bri was on the limit of his lens(as usual) but it shows a different bird to that digi'd by John: a very smart male. It could be that JD digi'd the other one of the 2 but when they flew today they both showed a lot of white so do we have a couple of new ones?
There were 2 chough C5 cream over pale green right leg and C7 cream over blue so I'm waiting for Tony to say who they are.
Last pic is a flock of goldies.....I reckoned about 200 but in this shot: 258.
Also 13 redshank,14 turnstone, a few curlew, oys and a heron.
At lunchtime a full adult Med gull flew past, probably having a look at the up-for-sale-restaurant with rooms!
