Started by looking at the fields south of Llanon. Nothing on the ground, but 62 Chaffinches went south, with a few Meadow Pipits and the odd Skylark.
A fairly large mixed flock of gulls well offshore was accompanied by 16 Gannets, also a Red-throated Diver on the sea.
At the beach car park at Llanrhystud lots of pipits around, almost all Meadow, with others flying over in small parties. I estimated at least 50 during the time I was there.
As there were pipits running around on the pebble ridge I decided to have a little walk towards the lime kilns to see if I could find anything with them, but did not expect to find a couple of Snow Buntings.
Back at the car park 10 Skylarks and a few more Chaffinches and mipits went over.
Offshore, another Red-throated Diver, two more Gannets and four Mediterranean Gulls. Probably a few more Med Gulls around, but I had noticed hardly any, though good numbers of Black-headed at sea.
Please excuse the poor quality of the photos, but the birds just wouldn't keep still, and besides, photography is not my strong point.
