I'm very grateful to Steve Butler from The Gwent Ornithological Society who phoned earlier to tell me about their visit to Cors Caron yesterday.
I wish I had been there to witness a Peregrine with prey, chased first by a Merlin, then a male Hen Harrier which eventually stole the prey from it. Three Hen Harriers were seen all together, 2 males and 1 female.
The group also saw Willow Tits and Redpolls on the car park feeders, Goshawk, Bullfinch, Snipe, c15 Red Kite, 20-25 Stock Dove, c100 Fieldfare, 400-500 Golden Plover and c1,000 Lapwing.
Thanks for letting me know Steve, glad you enjoyed your visit to Ceredigion.
