Velvet Scoter - Ynyslas Turn

There was a Velvet Scoter - an immature male I think - fairly close in with a dozen Common Scoter off Ynyslas Turn at midday today. Also one Red-throated Diver; and the GC Grebes now looking very smart in their breeding plumage.  All the pipits at the car park pool. The Water Pipit was noticeably more flighty than the Rock or Meadow pips, but all being disturbed a lot by the frequent dogs and dog-walkers.

Thanks for the excellent comparison photos Kev.
