I had to interrupt a telephone conversation this morning to check what I was seeing .I had read that there was one spotted in Ynyshir a week ago but the chances of seeing one here remained poor or so I thought.It landed on a tree trunk within a few meters of my kitchen window and I got an extremely good sighting.It was drumming into the bark and soon left hopefully to return soon if setting up a territory.What a good start to the day and its not Mothering Sunday for another day!Forget the card it will arrive on Monday!
