There was a Great Grey Shrike showing well at 10:30 this morning. It was at one of the most recently created clearings about half a mile form the main entrance on the Cross Inn to Bethania road where there are a number of good tree stumps for it to pose on. The clearing is just before the gate at a T junction in the woods.
I don't think anybody saw one here last year and I think this is the first this year.
