Thanks to the previous poster for the coordinates - my husband & I had front row seats to this spectacle yesterday evening. Just wonderful. We had been meaning to see where "our" starlings were spending the night this year since they've been setting off in an easterly direction as opposed to the north-west of previous years, which would have taken them to Aberystwyth pier. It would be interesting to know if the Aber roost is the same size as in previous years, in which case this new roost represents a significant increase in the starling population in the area. My impression is that they're definitely more abundant this year.
