Dyfi area morning

As it was my last morning of the holiday I made sure I was out and about as the sun rose over the hills. The drake Long tailed duck was present early morning off Ynyslas turn while 16 Sandwhich Terns fed offshore. 5 Whimbrel flew north.
Next stop Glandwr where 2 superb summer plumaged Black tailed Godwits fed on the pools. Warblers were in evidence with Reed, 3 Sedge and a Grasshopper Warbler while 3 Tree Pipit flew north overhead. 10 noisy Shelducks were also on the pool.
A single Med Gull fed in Ynys Tachwedd fields with the gulls while a walk around the point produced 2 Arctic Tern, 3 Common Tern and 30+ Sandwhich Terns. Manxies had built up by now with many streaming North and at least 40 Common Scoter were on the sea. Two Tree Pipit and many hirundines flew north here too.
An enjoyable end to an enjoyable break in Ceredigion.
