Seeing Red! Curlew Sand - Ynyslas

A superb but cold morning in the Dyfi area with brilliant sunrise and blue skies.
Highlight at high tide was a summer plumaged adult Curlew Sandpiper- an extremely early individual. Also at high tide- Grey Plover, 80+ Golden Plover, 224 Dunlin, 196 Ringed Plover, 7 Sanderling  and a Common  Sandpiper. A Greenshank was on the beach at first light also.
Offshore 6 Common Tern, 2 Sandwich Tern, 7 Red throated Diver, 15 Common Scoter and 250+ Manx Shearwater.
Glandwr held a singing Sedge Warbler while an Otter showed incredibly well hunting on the Leri.
