The Slaughter on Malta

Following Bob’s recent posts highlighting the appalling annual slaughter on Malta I’ve taken his advice and written to all four of my MEPs.

 

I’ve had a very supportive reply from Jill Evans MEP already.

 

Jill feels that the Malta situation, as well as other issues more widely, requires a dedicated EU Commissioner with specific responsibility for Animal Welfare. She has a current petition to promote this end.

I have signed and also took the opportunity to draw attention to the Malta slaughter in the comments which were added to my signature.
