Report from a 'bird-racer'

I've been reading the 'Ceredigion Birds' blogs with interest as I do an annual 24 hour 'bird race' in the area most years (travelling from the West Midlands).
Just to let you know I only managed 86 species this year but the highlight was an Osprey sailing north over the sea cliffs near New Quay whilst viewing the usual suspects nesting on the cliffs.
That was on Saturday 17th May. The next day I caught up on some birds I missed, which included 4 Whinchat and a singing Yellowhammer in Happy Valley.
