A late pied fly in our garden, has a few days still to go. Very rudimentary hide set up, precariously on a ladder. Only about 2 foot from this bird!!
Also on the Dyfi this morning, post breeding flocks of lapwing gathering. A few goosander but river full of food (shrimp and small flatties) thought there might be more in the bird line. Where are the mergansers that used to form large creches at this time of year, I wonder?
